Our first pack meeting of the year is: Tuesday September 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the LVE cafeteria.
There are a few items I want you to be aware of before the pack meeting to help things run smoothly.
Uniform: Scouts are to wear class A uniforms to pack meetings and to school that day. For our new tigers who may not have been able to purchase class A uniforms yet, please have your scout wear the scout t-shirt they received for joining.
Dues are due: The pack dues which include a year’s worth of BSA dues, class B uniform, pinewood derby car and all advancements are $110. We are offering a discount for those who pay by the September pack meeting. If you pay by September 9 dues will be $90 and the pack will take care of the BSA dues for your son. Checks will need to be made out to pack 3241.
Class B uniforms: I will be collecting t-shirt sizes for our class B uniforms (pack t-shirts). All scouts will receive this as part of their dues. Parents and siblings can purchase t-shirts for $15.
Camporee: Camporee will be October 10-11 with Webelos able to camp through the 12. The cost is $8 per camper; I will be collecting money at the pack meeting and will also be able to accept checks through September 26.
*We will also be getting information about popcorn sales at the first pack meeting.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need assistance with anything scouting:)

Pack 3241 Summer Belt Loop/Pin Clinics
Goal: To help our scouts enjoy outdoor activities, earn a number of awards, and most importantly Have Fun! We should be able to earn the belt loop and complete a number of the requirements for the pin – so the scout should be able to easily complete it on their own. When: From 9:00 am to 10:30 am
Details: The clinics will be approximately 90 minutes (from 9am to 10:30am) and are free. They will be held at or next to the LVE playground. Please bring water. Restrooms are not available on site. Siblings of scout age can participate, and parents are asked to stay the whole time – helping out where needed is always appreciated. The dates and activities are listed below. Webelos Scouts can experience a fun weekend at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. This is the camp that Boy Scouts attend for summer camp in our area. This is a great weekend of camping for boys and their parent/guardian to enjoy a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) themed program. The boys will also get to participate in BB guns, archery and slingshots.
They will also introduce you to the Boy Scout program that they run for summer camp to answer a lot of your questions about what it will be like. There will be a special Saturday night campfire program by the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
I would encourage all of our Webelos to attend this if they can. They will also be doing this again in the fall for our current Bear Scouts.
When: Saturday, April 26 -27th from 9:00 am to 9:00 am
Cost: $25 per person and includes Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and event patch.
Space is limited to the firs 250 Scouts and 250 adults. I checked today and there are still plenty of openings.
